    Cookie Policy

    This site is deliberately light on tracking. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no analytics pixels from Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar networks. This page explains the small amount of first-party storage the site does use.

    What actually gets stored on your device

    • Session storage: referrer flag. A single flag is written to sessionStorage so the referrer log is recorded only once per browser tab. It contains no personal information and is cleared when you close the tab.
    • Local storage: unlock flags. When you unlock a password-protected case study, a small flag is written to localStorage so you do not have to re-enter the password on repeat visits from the same browser. Clearing your browser storage removes these flags.
    • Functional cookies from the backend. The site's backend (hosting and database provider) may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site running and to defend against abuse.

    What is not on this site

    • No Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, or Google Ads tags.
    • No Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or X (Twitter) Pixel.
    • No third-party session replay, heatmap, or behavioral analytics tools.
    • No cross-site advertising or retargeting cookies.

    Because the site does not use advertising or non-essential analytics cookies, no cookie consent banner is required in the EEA, UK, or California for the storage described above. If that ever changes, a proper consent banner with granular controls will be added before any non-essential tracker loads.

    Third-party destinations

    If you follow a link out to LinkedIn, ADPList, Calendly, or another external site, that destination sets its own cookies under its own policy. I have no control over those cookies.

    Controlling storage

    You can clear or block cookies and site data at any time using your browser settings. Blocking storage may disable the "remember this unlock" behavior on password-protected case studies but will not otherwise break the site.
