Open official siteWhat it does
Vercel deploys web projects and connects changes in Git to preview and production deployments. A preview gives you a real URL for reviewing a change before it reaches the main site.
When to use it
Your project runs locally and you want a repeatable way to share and publish it from Git.
What you need: A Vercel account and a repository containing a supported web project.
Try a small build
A suggested exercise to help you evaluate the resource.
- Import a small repository and confirm its framework, build command, and output settings against the project instructions.
- Deploy it, open the generated URL, and refresh a nested route to check that direct navigation works.
- Make a change on a separate branch and inspect its preview deployment before merging.
You should end up with: A live project plus a preview workflow for the next change.
Keep in mind
Check environment variables and build logs when local and deployed behavior differ. Preview and production settings can differ.
