    What it does

Lucide is an open-source icon collection with packages for several frameworks. A consistent icon set helps functional controls feel related across an interface.

    When to use it

A control benefits from a familiar visual symbol, especially when space is limited.

What you need: A web project or design file and a clear purpose for each icon.

    Try a small build

A suggested exercise to help you evaluate the resource.

    1. Choose three functional controls, such as search, settings, and close. Decide which still need a visible text label.
    2. Use the relevant Lucide package or SVGs and keep sizing and stroke treatment consistent.
    3. Give icon-only buttons accessible names and test their meaning with someone who has not seen the design.

You should end up with: A small set of consistent, named controls rather than decorative symbols.

    Keep in mind

An icon is not automatically self-explanatory. Prefer text when the symbol would make a user guess.
