    What it does

The A11Y Project checklist organizes practical accessibility checks across content, keyboard interaction, images, forms, and other interface elements. It gives a review a useful starting structure.

    When to use it

You have a page or prototype in code and want to review how people can perceive and operate it.

What you need: A working page, a keyboard, and time to inspect the relevant checklist sections.

    Try a small build

A suggested exercise to help you evaluate the resource.

    1. Choose a complete task, such as finding a resource or submitting a form, and identify the checklist sections it touches.
    2. Work through those checks on the actual page. Record a specific issue and reproduction steps whenever something fails.
    3. Fix one issue and repeat the same task. Combine the manual review with an automated check where useful.

You should end up with: An actionable accessibility review tied to a real user task.

    Keep in mind

A checklist supports review; it does not certify compliance. Include people with disabilities in usability research where possible.
